They'll still be avaliable for a long while at current prices, never fear, but why not get a better design like a FAL (right arm of the free world) or an hk91 copy? Much less $$ for the FAL, HK copy comparably priced and a better rifle.
to be frank, i never even thought about it... as you can probably see, i hadn't really researched the idea of a .308 battle rifle before i made my post. i'll check out your suggestions! thanks.
